LATTER-DAY SAINTS GENEALOGY SITE

http://www.familysearch.org.

This is an online searchable "Name Search Engine" genealogy site which gives you free access to "a portion" of records from the 1880 Census. You will NOT get the actual census page, but if you want to know the name of the parents, husband, wife, or children of the person you are researching this search engine MIGHT help you. You MIGHT also find birth dates in select cases.  If you are looking for complete records of the 1880 Census you will have to go to another source, but it is a good first stop.

Special Note:  Let me share that you will always want to get hard copy, primary source back up of a date -- such as a birth certificate. Census records have errors in them.

Special Note:  This site also has some free genealogy forms and software on it.  So really give it a good "look see."
